Kyaa! Our bishounen is here! Kurapica won the most fave chara in Hunter x Hunter poll, too bad he's not my fave (Killua ga yori kakkoi ne! ^.^). One thing I want to stress here is "Kurapica is MALE", so don't argue and doubt about his gender. I know he appears to be a bit feminine due to his cool and calmness, but trust me he is pure male ^_^.

What brought Kurapica into the hunter exam is only one thing: to avenge the extinction of his tribe, Kuruta, which was being massacred by a band of cold-blooded murderers named Genei Ryodan. Kurapica is the one and only survivor of Kuruta tribe, and he swore to get every single eyes which was taken away. The Kuruta tribe is famous by their eyes which will turn into burning red color (Hi no Me) when they were in anger or serious agitation, and it's one of the most demanded collections.

Kurapica uses 2 weapons: Kan, a double-sword which is connected by a cord, and some sort of steel ball connected into chains on his right hand. Kurapica seems to be much mature than his age, maybe because of his outstanding knowledge and careful judgment. His quickmindedness and skill of bargaining had saved his life and Leorio from Hisoka.
