You might think he is a materialistic guy, because when he's asked about the reason why he wants to be a hunter he always replied "Obviously, for money!". It's half true but beyond that superficial reason he wants to use the money to fund his medical school fees, then build hospitals and curing poor patients without taking any charge (what a noble deed @_@).

What had aspired him to a doctor that bad? It was back then when his friend, Pietro, died because of debilitating illness. Leorio felt so guilty because he couldn't save his friend due to lack of medical knowledge and money. Since that day he decided to be a hunter so he can gain a lot of money in order to be a doctor.

Among the others in the group, Leorio is the one with the most doubtful combat skill ^^", but he's the best in curing wounds and deceases. He acts more like a big brother to Gon, Killua and Kurapica although he is the most impatient and impulsive one. Leorio always seen carrying a suitcase and dressed up like a white collar worker. He sometimes use a dagger when he fights but it doesn't seem to do much damage.
